Microsoft vs Sun Microsystem & Vlookup in Both offices
Microsoft gives Windows whereas Sun Microsystem gives Linux
Microsoft gives Microsoft office whereas Sun Microsystem gives Open office
Microsoft costs in India somewhat around Rs. 9000+14000 for office & window that amounts to Rs.23000 or around for 1 PC for installing licensed copy of Office & Window whereas Sun Microsystem is free.
Vlookup formula in Office is vlookup(F14,A5:B5,2,0) whereas vlookup formula in Open office is vlookup(F14;A5:B5;2)
Means instead of commas we have semi-columns and 4th part where zero or false is given is not applicable in Open office
Similarly CTRL+D function does not work in open office.
Hyperlink on any given word does not work in open office. We have to delete that word and after installing hyperlink a # mark comes against the word of that sheet with which we have established hyperlink.

Age calculators in excel
This will give today's date on any day
Write your birth date say 26-1-1970
Now subtract A1-B1 where A1 = Today( )
& B1 = Birth date
So we get a number in cell C31 .
Now use formula = TEXT(C31,"yy-mm-dd") where C31 is A1-B1
Then we will get that number in C1 in format like 31-08-09 which means 31 is the age in years, 8
is the age in months and 9 is the age in days.
Similarly to know day of original and first birth date
Write birth date say 26-1-1970
Use formula Text(B31,"ddd") which will give answer as "Sun" that means day for 26-1-1970 was
Sunday means u were born on Sunday.
Other formula to calculate age based on Birth date is =DATEDIF(C12,NOW(),"y")
Where C12= Birth date
