A Gerund is a verb which is acting as Noun.
Eg. Reading
It is a verb
It is a verb
But if you ask someone - " So where has your reading gone so far?"
Then here reading is a noun.
That means a verb used as a Noun.
Hence here the word 'reading' is a Gerund
Mostly Gerunds are easy to identify as most of them end or all of them end with "ing" wording.
