Facts about Dengue mosquito
Only female AEDES mosquito can bite
It bites because it needs the protein in blood to develop it's eggs.
Mosquito becomes infective approximately after 7 days after it has bitten a person having virus.
Once the mosquito gets infected then it remains infective for the rest of the life. Not only this but it passes on the virus to the eggs it lays.
Peak biting of Dengue mosquito is at
1) Dawn ie 2 hours after sunrise
2) Dusk ie 2 hours before sunset
