श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता - 3.22
अध्याय 3 : कर्मयोग


SANSKRIT SHLOKA

न मे पार्थास्ति कर्तव्यं त्रिषु लोकेषु किञ्चन |
नानवाप्तमवाप्तव्यं वर्त एव च कर्माणि || २२ ||


HINDI TRANSLATION

हे पृथापुत्र! 

तीनों लोकों में मेरे लिए कोई भी कर्म नियत नहीं है, 

न मुझे किसी वस्तु का अभाव है और 

न आवश्यकता ही है | 

तो भी मैं नियत्कर्म करने में तत्पर रहता हूँ |


ENGLISH TRANSLATION

O son of Arjuna!

In all the 3 worlds there is no Karma left for me, alloted to me.

Neither do I need anything 

Nor there is shortage of anything to Me.

Then also I am ever ready to perform my daily karmas which Life brings to Me and I am expected to do.

Explanation

Henry Ford or someone said that "What will you do if you are not afraid?"

But Lord Krishna says here the pressure of Karma does not drive Him, it is His sincerity towards Karma & the CARE Factor dwelling in Him towards whole world and its beings, that drives Him.

So it is not the Fear factor that drives Him.

It is the Love factor that drives Him.

Message we get is that
All for Love

We should do karma not out of Fear but out of Love towards God & His beings.
