4) Yog ( there are around 27 yogs eg fortune, love etc)

3 types of Chaturthi for Lord Ganesh

There are 3 types of Chaturthi

1) Vinayaki Chaturthi

In every month, 1st 15 days (fortnight)
A Chaturthi comes (4th day of moon)
That Chaturthi is called Vinayaki Chaturthi.


2) Sankasht Chaturthi

The Chaturthi coming in next 15 days of month is called - Sankashti Chaturthi


3) Angarki Chaturthi

If a Sankasht Chaturthi comes on Tuesday, it is called Angarki Chaturthi

3 habits that can avoid or delay knee pain in old age

3 Habits if followed can avoid knee pain or at least delay it by years or decades (especially for those who are in 40s and 50s and above)

1.) Avoid Stairs, use lift as far as possible

2) Use American toilets in place of Indian toilet 

3) Avoid sitting on floor, sit on chairs for eating etc.


Note - Walking is not a cause of knee pain. So walking is not unadvisable as compared to Stair climbing.

Also if knees pain while sleeping, then placing a pillow between 2 legs or 2 knees gives relief and may avoid knee pain

Brahm Muhurta Shlok

"brAhmI muhUrtaM uttiShTHEt swasthO rakshArthaM Ayusha:tatra sarvArtha shAntyartham smareccha madhusUdanaM"

(Ref: Ashtanga Hridayam)

Meaning : 

"One should wake up in the brahma muhurta for sustaining perfect health and for achieving a long life span, as desired. "

What is Brahm Muhurta ?

As per few people, Brahm Muhurta is the time between 3:30 am to 4:30 am

The Amrit in micro quantities is present in environment during this time, so spiritual seekers prefer this time for meditation

Srimadbhagvat Saptah Parayan

Activity - Reading of Sanskrit Shloks of Srimadbhagvat

Duration - 7 days

Activity known as - Bhagvat Saptah

From - Bhadrapad Shuddh Navmi to Purnima or any time as per convenience.

First day - Worship Granth ie Do Granth Puma

Daily activity - Read Sanhita ie Sanskrit Shlok for 4-5 hours

Method - 
A main speaker reads loudly and remaining along with him speaks in a low tone matching their Soors with the Soor of the main speaker.

 In afternoon whatever Sanskrit Shloks were read, meaning of that is explained in short.

At night, there is Katha Kirtan and Bhajan.

All Sanhita is completed in 7 days.

On 8th day, Gita Paath is done and in a Palkhi the Srimadbhagvat is taken out. 

End - The program ends by Mahaprasad.

1) Get up early in morning

2) Take Bath

3) Go to temple

4) Wander in free air in this morning time, ie take a round or morning walk


Step-2

1) Devpuja

2) Reading of good Dharmik Granth

3) Paarayan

4) Katha Kirtan 

5) Puraan-Shravan

6) Naam-Smaran

7) Satsangti

8) Daan (Act of giving especially to needy Grihasth)

9) Suitable Vrat and Niyam

10) Go-Seva (Service to Cow)

11) Love towards Animals

12) Reading Dharmik Granths

13) Aradhna and Upaasna of Dev

14) Control on food and sleep

15) Akhand Nam Jap

16) Control on 6 enemies - Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachment, Mad (Arrogance) and Matsar (Envy)
