3) AVOID array formulas and adopt Helper columns

4) Avoid Conditional formatting as far as possible as this feature is volatile.

5) Used Named ranges ie instead of A:A use A1:A10

6) Prefer static values in place of unused formulas

7) Use manual calculation mode by going through Formula Tab - Calculation options - Manual (press F9 key to recalculate) Don't let excel recalculate automatically and waste your time.

8) Use Iferror instead of if and iserror

9) Use Max formula where possible in place of If formula
